GLOW reveals permanent light art projects

The festival takes place from November 12th until November 19th, although GLOW doesn’t completely end after the 19th. Partners TU/e and Eindhoven 247 have realised two light art projects to remain in Eindhoven permanently: they are the project made by Eindhoven artists Ivo Schoofs and Har Hollands.

Har Hollands created a light design, named ‘AnTUenna’,  for the chimney on the University campus. Last year, he also designed a permanent light artwork for shopping centre HEUVEL, called ‘Light Dome’. At Stationsplein, you’ll come across the project ‘Just because you are a character, doesn’t mean you have a character’ by the Eindhoven light artist Ivo Schoofs. Also known for the ‘Fire Tornado’ and the ‘Large Pendalum Wave’. At Markt, in the heart of the city centre, Tessa Koot has created two lampposts in the shape of a heart. These last two projects are also part of Roundabout Design,  the latest design route in the city of Eindhoven. A great connection between technique and design.
