The multimedia installations of Nuno Maya and Carole Purnelle show a wide range of multimedia applications in the arts and interactive installations. In their artistic practice they focus on light as a tool for covering and coloring architectural environments.
They are invited to develop their “Virtual Tiles” parallel for GLOW Eindhoven and Luzboa in Lisbon. Their working materials for GLOW are recordings of traffic in public space. In their digital processing they abstract the visuals from their formal patterns and use these as blueprints for the design of mimic mosaic tiles. Through the projection of these digital tiles they mantle architectural surfaces.
