The Leidingstraat is an industrial relict. Energy and industrial gas (such as compressed air and CO2) were transported from the Ketelhuis on Strijp-T over the Strijps bultje (rise) to Strijp-S. All industrial buildings in Strijp-S were connected to this street.
The Leidingstraat will remain intact in the new development plan, with the possibility of a footpath in order to walk in Strijp-S on a higher level.
