"Light connects people with their environment"

It's all in the mix "Light as an artistic material is literally 'light'. The interplay of light and matter is essential to my work: matter is revealed by light, while light needs matter to appear. The heaviness of stone, or wood, can contrast strongly with the lightness of light. My background as a botanist has given me technical, physical and organic experience that I can transform into artistic approaches, leading to new ways of seeing light".

Light is poetry "Light is dynamic, constantly changing throughout the day. But people are not always aware of it. Compare it to music: it's always there in the background, but who will notice it? Light art can reveal hardly visible facets of our environment. At night, it becomes possible to orient light upwards, to make it appear as a second, artificial sun, playing with our common understanding of daylight”.
