Eindhoven has been for long years the light source for many places in the world. Every one of those places may look different in daylight, but when night is falling, a rich and colourful matrix of lights emerges and paints the darkness. City of Light illustrates an abstract image of a city. The installation consists of a chaos of lamps and cables, which comes to life every day when light turns to darkness.
Design duo BCXSY – consisting of Boaz Cohen and Sayaka Yamamoto is representing the Krabbedans during GLOW 2009. The duo which graduated from the Design Academy Eindhoven was responsible for the exposition design of Modebelofte 2009 and the Items Graduation Selection expositions. During GLOW they would light the Krabbedans and the side of the Lichtplein.
