GLOW turns off the lights on friday at 11pm

After tonight's press conference (11/12/21), it's with regret that the GLOW organisation has decided to switch off the lights earlier than expected. This is due to the new government measures announced tonight and after close consultation with the security services and the Municipality of Eindhoven.
Regrettably, the incredible light art festival - which would normally take place until Saturday 13 November - will end a day earlier than planned. Yet we can proudly declare that GLOW 2021 has been a wonderfully inspiring and memorable edition.
The theme "Moved by Light" turned out to be a topic that captures these new and challenging times perfectly. A period that requires patience, resilience and pragmatism from everyone. Only last week, the event hung by a thread but thanks to the swift introduction of extra safety measures, this much loved light festival was able to start without delay. The GLOW organisation is very pleased with this year's attendance and the incredibly positive reactions. Visitors were enthralled over seven full days and nights of innovative light installations and exhibits.
“People were simply 'transported' by the whole experience,” said Ronald Ramakers, Director of GLOW.
Finally, we'd like to thank all the visitors, exhibitors, coordinators and contributors - everyone who helped make this year's GLOW one of the best ever. Only working together do we make GLOW what it is!  See you next year!
