The Light Cathedral is a try-out for a future light art work at GLOW and originates from a GLOWlab.
November 2019 I GLOWlab 1 - first measurement
During GLOW2019 a first measurement is taken in the Emma District in the run-up to GLOW2020. A fictitious cathedral is built in Virtual Reality: one time a fairy-like cathedral appears, then a sinister cathedral. Do these images have the same effect on everyone? The brainwave activity of 400 people is measured. This allows us to lay a connection between the impact of the images and the brain waves. This data provides The Lux Lab information for light designs in public spaces. We have to comply with guidelines, but that is not the most important factor.
