The Eindhoven light artist Michel Suk is no unfamiliar face on the GLOW stage. For his 8th participation he has made a frame for the glass sound insulation for the property ‘Hartje Rio’, adjacent to the Philips Stadium.
This glass wall is an artwork in itself, but it is unsuitable for creating an artwork using traditional forms of light. Through enclosing the diamond shape with another diamond shape its structure becomes tangible and a shape like you can find in the natural world is created. This is where the idea of working with the perimeter in place of the surface occurred. The artist creates an image on the outside edge.
Multiple lasers as a source of light allow visitors to discover the extremely refined structure in a different way. The connections between points, lines and shapes are captured in the play of colour and movement.
